Chapter 267 Bounty? What bounty?

Chapter 267 Bounty? What bounty?

Chapter 267, Bounty? What bounty?

After noticing that Qi Min had discovered him, the ghost child withdrew his gaze as if nothing had happened, looked at Number 01 with a serious expression, and leaned closer to whisper something.

Number 01 listened to his words in a slightly lower voice, her face unconsciously starting to furrow.

"Go and capture a few players who came from over there. I need to see what's going on!"

Number 01 spoke coldly to the ghost child, and only after watching him leave did he turn to look at Qi Min.

"What's wrong? What happened?"

Qi Min looked at him questioningly, and the young boy slowly spoke after meeting his gaze.

"My younger siblings, whom I arranged to keep an eye on things over there, said that something big seems to be going on over there."

That old bastard seems to be mass-producing ghosts; I suspect he might attack again soon.

The young boy's cold and collected reply caused Qi Min's expression to darken as well. He frowned and pondered over the things in the laboratory in front of him.

Not long after, the ghost child who had just left returned, bringing back two players.

When Number 01 saw them come in, he walked towards the unconscious player, but just as he was about to get close...

One of the players, who had appeared to be unconscious, suddenly sprang to his feet, and with a flick of his wrist, a gleaming dagger stabbed towards player number 01.

"careful!"

"Ahhhh!!!"

Qi Min rushed over, kicked the dagger aside, picked up player number 01, and at the same time, the player's scream rang out.

The ghost child who brought him in didn't hesitate to rip off his arm, his bloodthirsty fangs gleaming coldly at him.

Number 01, who was already on guard, was stunned. He didn't expect Qi Min to rush over and pick him up protectively.

After he modified it, its chest regained its slight pulsation, which was now facing the side of No. 01's head, constantly transmitting the warmth and pulsation of a living person.

Number 01 felt that the distance between them was closer than when they were writing before, so close that he felt somewhat...uncomfortable and...strange.

He hadn't felt that familiar pulse and warmth in so long, let alone this protective closeness from any adult.

"Are you OK!"

Qi Min lowered his head to ask, his concern genuine. Number 01 was brought back to her senses by his question and replied that she was fine and should let go of herself.

The person lifted it up like a child, forcing it to dangle in mid-air with its feet off the ground.

His already short stature appeared even smaller next to Qi Min, which inexplicably made 01 feel a little annoyed.

After Qi Min put him down as instructed, he saw him walk towards the two players, one unconscious and the other screaming.

Then, Qi Min witnessed the powerful mind control ability of player 01, who was specifically marked, through these two players.

Under the uncontrolled reading of memories by Player 01, the two players soon became somewhat dazed, drooling and looking like idiots.

"What's wrong with those two?"

Qi Min looked at the two players who were slumped on the ground and asked in a surprised tone.

"It's nothing. I maliciously searched through all their memories and accidentally damaged their brain nerves."

Number 01 answered casually, letting the ghost child drag them out, before nonchalantly beginning to observe Qi Min's expression.

After listening to his words, Qi Min only showed a slight surprise, and did not show the fear, vigilance, or defensiveness he had imagined.

"Oh, did you see any useful information?"

After being slightly amazed by his abilities, Qi Min turned to ask questions.

'oh? ’

'Doesn't he have anything else to say?'

'He drove this adult player, who was also a player, to the brink of madness, and he just calmly said "Oh?"'

Player 01, who had deliberately made the two players look like idiots, felt somewhat frustrated.

The calmer and more composed Qi Min was with them, the more uncomfortable Number 01 felt.

Therefore, No. 01 was always intentionally or unintentionally releasing dangerous signals to see Qi Min's reaction.

Aside from Qi Min's reaction the first time, which satisfied him, No. 01 felt somewhat stifled every time they met again and in their interactions so far.

He didn't know where this inexplicable emotion came from, but he just felt a little uncomfortable.

"Yes, would you count as a bounty?"

The young boy turned his head away and said calmly.

"what?"

Qi Min was somewhat puzzled. A bounty? Him?

What bounty? Who posted the bounty?

After being explained by Number 01, Qi Min finally understood the bounty and shook his head with amusement.

For someone to be willing to spend points to offer a bounty on you, in the world of dungeons, you're probably the first one to do so.

Among many players, this can be considered a form of indirect fame.

To put it another way, it's about finding a player who can make monsters spend a lot of points to offer a bounty.

Once this story gets out, everyone will probably praise it as amazing.

Qi Min thought about it with a touch of bittersweet humor, but at the same time, something else came to mind.

Could that old man, who was a researcher, really be so foolish as to think that he had simply shut down the central nervous system of the other party's area?

Is it really worth spending such a large amount of points to issue a warrant for his arrest?

Qi Min told Number 01 about his doubts, and Number 01 surprisingly smiled.

"Of course it's not worth it, but what if he loses important data because you shut down his central system? Wouldn't that make a lot more sense?"

Number 01 spoke with a hint of smugness as the group of adults who had come to launch the surprise attack suddenly withdrew.

He then sent two ghost children to follow them and left a wisp of spiritual energy on them.

Following the clues they discovered, Number 01 appeared at the same time as Qi Min was on the verge of death.

He also manipulated this single thought, making the two ghost children follow the route he indicated.

They followed the trail until they found the place where that old beast kept his important documents.

Number 01 knew exactly where that old bastard liked to put things.

They easily stole all the data he had re-experimented.

These materials were naturally of no use to him.

But just thinking about how angry that old bastard would be makes Number 01 feel incredibly happy.

"So that's it..."

Qi Min nodded as if he understood, but looking at Number 01 who still didn't seem angry, he pouted with some dissatisfaction, paused for a moment, and then spoke again.

"There's another piece of news. My previous guess was right. That old beast really is creating a large number of ghosts. It shouldn't be long before he launches another attack on our side..."

Upon hearing this, Qi Min's expression immediately turned serious, and then the two of them, one big and one small, began to discuss and take action.
