Chapter 7: The Human Skin Mask
Chapter 7: The Human Skin Mask
The next morning, the man woke up in bed and saw an ugly old woman at his feet. He frowned slightly, as if trying to recall what had happened.
His thin lips were tightly closed, and his face grew increasingly grim.
He remembered that he had been bought back to be a man for an old woman, and that the old woman had touched him all over his body... Thinking of this, a murderous aura rose around the man.
Just as he was about to approach Song Miqiu, he suddenly noticed a birthmark behind Song Miqiu's ear.
The birthmark wasn't very noticeable, but he recognized it clearly; it was unique to human skin masks!
This isn't an ordinary old woman?
The man's heart skipped a beat, and his eyes turned cold.
At the same time, Song Miqiu stretched and sat up. She had a sore back from sleeping, and as she rubbed her aching shoulders, she squinted at the strange man.
With a slight wave of his hand, the liquid food on the table was thrown towards Song Miqiu's face.
Song Miqiu had just woken up and was too slow to react, so the liquid food smeared all over his face.
"Excuse me, I meant to...drink some water," the man said in a deep voice.
Suppressing his anger, Song Miqiu grinned and said, "It's alright, you drink it."
As he spoke, he poured a bowl of water and brought it over.
He was indeed quite handsome, which prevented Song Miqiu from getting angry at his pitiful appearance.
She raised her hand to wipe the water off her face, but touched something soft and squishy.
She glanced at it curiously, only to find that the wrinkled, yellow skin had fallen onto her hand.
Shock!
Embarrassing?
She hurriedly covered the man's mouth and whispered, "I know I look a little scary right now, but you absolutely mustn't make a sound, or I'll kill you!"
Why did her skin start peeling?
Song Miqiu was completely baffled, but before he figured it out, the fewer people who knew, the better.
The man calmly pried her hands away: "I know you saved my life, so of course I should repay your kindness."
“That’s true. A drop of kindness deserves a spring of gratitude. I don’t ask anything of you, just don’t cause any trouble.” Song Miqiu nodded.
She then pulled out a bottle of dark blue oral liquid from her bosom and held it to the man's lips: "I'll only believe you after I drink it."
"Poison?" The man hesitated for a moment, then opened his mouth and drank it.
She suddenly realized that she was lying on top of the man in a rather intimate position, so she quickly got off him. After tearing off all the skin from her face, Song Miqiu went to the bronze mirror.
She thought she had really lost all sense of shame, but unexpectedly, she revealed a pretty face.
This was a face full of collagen, like that of a seventeen or eighteen-year-old, with a delicate nose and fair skin. It didn't look like the appearance of a woman nearing fifty at all. Song Miqiu tried hard to recall, but still couldn't understand why the original owner had concealed her true appearance.
Because the original owner's memories were limited to the past three years, she had no idea what happened three years ago.
Song Miqiu pinched her face and breathed a sigh of relief: "At least no muscles or blood vessels were exposed."
She thought she was now just like the anatomical diagrams in her biology textbook.
"Don't you know?" The man stood up, his voice low. "It's a human skin mask."
"A mask?" Song Miqiu tried to glue the torn skin back on, but to no avail.
“I know what to do.” The man walked over, tried it out, and demonstrated it to Song Miqiu.
Song Miqiu's eyes lit up: "It really sticks! So I've been wearing a human skin mask all this time?"
